View Newsgroups
- On the Windows menu, choose Newsgroups.
- On the News menu, choose Download Complete Newsgroup List.
You will see a status window showing the number of newsgroups that have been downloaded.
Tips
- You must first set up Internet Mail and News to access your news server in order to access newsgroups lists.
- The current news server you are using is displayed in the News Server field. To change the server you are using, choose Preferences from the Edit menu, click news server, and select a different server.

Setting up your news server
- On the Windows menu, choose Newsgroups.
- On the News menu, choose Download Updates To List Only.
You will see a status showing you the number of newsgroups being downloaded or a message telling you that there have been no new newsgroups added to the server since your last update.
Tip
- To see the full newsgroup list again, choose Show Complete Newsgroup List on the News menu.

- If the Newsgroup window is not open, choose Newsgroup from the Windows menu.
- In the Display Newsgroups Containing field above the message list, enter the word(s) that are contained in the title of the newsgroup you are looking for. As you type, only the newsgroups that match what you have typed will be visible.
- To show the entire list of messages again, delete the text in the Display Newsgroups Containing field.

- On the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
- Click News Server.
- In the Server List area, click the sever you want to use.
- Click OK.

- This option is not available if you are using Internet Config.

- On the News menu, choose Add Newsgroup To Favorites.
